On Friday, September 29, at 8:00 PM, Luca Boffi (Alberonero) will present his latest editorial project "Dear Field. Work Diary" through a performative action in the spaces of Platea (Platea | Project, via Maddalena 3, Lodi).
Like "talking poplars," standing inside the exhibition space at regular intervals, participants repeat, whispering in the form of a mantra, some excerpts from the book "Dear Field." The initial cacophony thus becomes a choral action that reflects a collective and poetic history in continuity with the artist's vision. Drawing inspiration from the broader project "Field" and Alberonero's experience between 2019 and 2021 in symbiosis with a poplar field in Campogalliano (MO), the performance plays on the re-presentation of the environment and sensations that accompanied a daily human and artistic journey.
During the LODI BASèLL days in the new Platea | Project space (Via Maddalena 3, Lodi), the film "Boys Frolic Not Here Not Now Among Corpses of Poplars in the Imaginary Field" by director Antonietta Elia and Luca Boffi will be screened.
"Dear Field. Work Diary" is produced by STUDIO STUDIO STUDIO, published by Viaindustriae publishing, and realized with the support of the Italian Council (XI edition, 2022), the international promotion program for Italian art of the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture.
BIO
Luca Boffi (Alberonero), born in 1991, works as an artist and farmer. He studies visual perception, landscape transformations, processes of transition, and reciprocity between living beings, between the natural and the artificial. He interprets the surrounding environment based on the posture and gesture of his practice. In 2013, he graduated in Interior Design from the Polytechnic University of Milan. He embarked on an artistic path in which the community and social dimension are central, creating works mainly in public spaces.
Luca Boffi has exhibited and collaborated with realities and institutions including the Santa Paula Art Museum (Santa Paula, CA, USA), Domaine de Boisbuchet (Lessac, FR), the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art (Rome, IT), and the Milan Triennale (Milan, IT). He has worked in various European capitals and in Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Estonia, Indonesia, Lebanon, Mexico, the United States, and other countries worldwide.
